Subject: The curators decide and make the pitch.

“There were various hurdles in the last three tests we played. The ball was spinning and the pitch was slow in the first test (Hyderabad). It was staying low in Vizag. The wicket grew slower as the game went on. Here, for the first three days, it performed admirably. We saw that the ball was low and spinning today. Pitch formats are similar to this; we receive pitches similar to this in India. However, we will also play on rank-turners,” the Indian captain stated.

“He is very aware of his strategy,” Rohit Sharma says of Ravindra Jadeja.
The Indian captain acknowledged Ravindra Jadeja, who bowled a match-winning spell and scored a century. In addition to complimenting the southpaw’s awareness of the local conditions, Rohit voiced faith in younger players such as Sarfaraz Khan.

During the news conference held after the game, Rohit highlighted the team’s history of success on difficult pitches. He also emphasized that although the squad can’t control how the pitches are prepared, they nevertheless make an effort to adjust to various wickets and perform well under any circumstances.

“On similar wickets, we have won a great deal of matches in the past. Our strongest areas continue to be the turning tracks and pitches where the ball turns. It provides us with harmony. For many years, we have delivered results, and going forward, we will continue to receive them. However, there are factors over which we have no influence; for example, we never debate whether or not we want rank-turners. How much can we accomplish in two days when we are here (at the sites) two days before the game?” inquired Rohit.

Subject: Anyone who believes that the 50-over game is inferior to the T20 game is insane: Ian Chappell

Ian Chappell, a former captain of Australia’s cricket team, expressed his worries regarding the 50-over format’s downfall. Following the decision made by Cricket Australia to convert the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy from a conventional trophy to a Twenty20 international series,. Chappell’s concerns about One-Day International (ODI) cricket’s future appear to be well-founded.

Cricket Australia has chosen to have a T20I series between Australia and New Zealand instead of the traditional ODI format for the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy. This action demonstrates that T20 cricket is being considered by the cricket administration as the game’s future.

“There is no denying that T20 cricket is the most popular sport there, with T20 matches taking precedence over 50-over matches. It is absurd for anyone to believe that the 50-over game is superior to the T20 game. The administrators have abandoned 50-over cricket, and in my opinion, they may not be able to bring it back, Chappell remarked in an interview with World Wide Sports.
